€384,000 for island sports facilities maintenance

The Cabildo, through its Sports Department, has launched a tender for the comprehensive maintenance of its sports facilities. The contract, valued at an estimated €383,443, aims to ensure the preservation and proper use of equipment, machinery, materials, gardens, installations, and buildings located in the sports venues managed by the Cabildo’s Sports Service in Puerto del Rosario, guaranteeing safe and high‑quality sporting practice.

The service will help the facilities operate at optimal performance, minimizing breakdowns and supporting the normal functioning of activities carried out at sites such as the Francisco Melián Island Center, Cabildo Island Sports Center, Island Nautical Center, Fuerteventura Island Motocross Circuit, as well as offices, rooms, and sports‑management spaces.

“This tender is necessary due to the increased use of the facilities for sports, cultural activities, and occasional events, making a more effective approach essential to protect the infrastructure and ensure the safety of users,” said Luis González, Sports Counselor.
