5th Puerto del Rosario Opportunities Fair to be cultural and charitable
The Puerto del Rosario City Council unveiled the details of the 5th Opportunity Fair, a staple on the municipality’s calendar. The event will once again transform Primero de Mayo Street into a lively, dynamic space on May 16‑17.
A Vibrant Mix of Commerce, Culture and Community
Organised in partnership with the Puerto del Rosario Business Association, the fair will host around 50 commercial stalls offering a diverse range of products and services. Beyond shopping, the programme includes:
- Live music performances
- Workshops for children and adults
- Raffles with €1,500 in prizes
- Vehicle and motorcycle exhibitions
- Theatrical street‑activations that will enliven every corner
A Cultural and Charitable Dimension
This edition places a strong emphasis on culture and solidarity. Poetry will take centre stage through initiatives such as the “Tree of Poems” and a guest poet who will engage the audience with emotive readings. Additionally, the gastronomic offerings and several activities will support fundraising for the Fuerteventura Metastatic Breast Cancer Association.
“This fair represents far more than a commercial opportunity; it is a meeting point for citizens, a way to bring life to our streets and to support those who keep the municipality’s economic fabric moving,” said Mayor David de Vera.
“We have worked to create a fair that caters to all audiences, where local commerce, culture, leisure and solidarity coexist. Each edition shows that people respond, participate and make this space their own,” explained Councilor for Commerce Tacoremi Gutiérrez.
“For our businesses, this fair is a real chance to be seen, to connect with customers and to generate movement in the city. It is also an event lived with enthusiasm, because behind it lies a lot of collective work and a clear commitment to energise Puerto del Rosario,” noted Daniela Plotegher, President of the Business Association.
