700 seniors gather at Feaga's traditional folk festival
Seven hundred seniors from every municipality visited the Agricultural, Livestock and Fisheries Fair (FEAGA) of Fuerteventura on the afternoon of April 17. Participants came from all senior centers across the island, as well as the Residence and Day Center of Puerto del Rosario and the Josefina Plá Day Center in La Oliva. They were welcomed by the island’s president, Lola García, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Enrique Pérez, and the Minister of Social Action, Víctor Alonso, alongside other island officials and municipal representatives.
“The traditional gathering with our seniors at FEAGA is one of the most anticipated moments of the fair. It is important that they can meet and enjoy our customs and music during the usual folkloric encounter,” said Lola García.
Enrique Pérez and Víctor Alonso expressed their gratitude for the participation of all senior residences and day centers, emphasizing the vital role seniors play in a fair like FEAGA.
