Airport Tourist Info Office Wins SICTED Quality Distinction
The State Secretariat for Tourism renewed on December 2 the quality distinctions for 22 tourism services in Fuerteventura.
The Inter‑destination Committee of the Integrated System of Tourist Quality in Destinations (SICTED), under the State Secretariat for Tourism, met for this purpose on December 2 and renewed the quality distinctions for 22 tourism services in the Fuerteventura destination, and granted two new distinctions to the Airport Tourism Office and to NaTOUR Adventure.
The Tourism Board presented the proposal on November 25, considering that all these companies and tourism services meet the conditions and have correctly completed the SICTED methodological procedures during the current year, “therefore deserving the distinction that recognises and certifies their commitment to quality and continuous improvement.”
“I congratulate all SICTED companies for their commitment to continuous improvement, worthy recipients of this recognition and an example to follow to continue promoting a competitive destination thanks to the accommodation offer and the services provided by our professionals,” said Lola García, President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura.
“This is very good news that highlights the importance and drive we are giving to quality in the Fuerteventura destination, aware that it is a safe and key bet if we want to be competitive in the tourism industry, which adds great value to our destination’s offer, helps maintain a high and positive perception among tourists, fosters loyalty and certainly consolidates us as a destination,” said Marlene Figueroa, Tourism Counselor of the Island Council.
In this edition, the Airport Tourist Information Office and NaTOUR Adventure are incorporated into SICTED, joining the two new R2 Chain hotels added last July together with two beaches in the municipality of Tuineje. It is also worth mentioning that the boat El Majorero has been recovered after a thorough repair.
