Alisio Gains Ground Starting Thursday
Continuous northeast winds will be the norm for at least a week
The trade winds are reclaiming territory this week on the island of Fuerteventura as the Azores Anticyclone re‑establishes its space, this time sitting beneath the low‑pressure system Erin, which will also generate waves for the island.
Steady breezes of around 40 km/h will be felt more intensely in exposed areas, especially in the north and southeast of Fuerteventura.
Temperatures are expected to remain stable, with slight rises in some locations, reaching up to 30 °C in parts of the island.
Regarding sea conditions, great caution is advised along the coast, as waves of up to two metres may be observed off the northern shoreline.
