Anjoca Resort in Corralejo to Reopen After Summer
Anjoca, the company owned by the heirs of the recently deceased Ángel Jove, will open the doors of what is set to become the largest hotel complex in northern Fuerteventura. The four‑star resort will be located in Corralejo, with operations expected to begin in the winter of 2026. According to the Canary press, the project will feature 1,000 beds and 26 swimming pools, and was conceived as a premium destination with a €100 million budget.
The heirs of Ángel Jove run a powerful conglomerate whose activities range from construction to hotel management, primarily under the Elba brand. The Galician‑based group’s tourism venture is on the rise, as reflected in its latest financial statements filed with the Mercantile Registry. In 2024 the company recorded a turnover of €167 million, remaining stable but with an increasing share of revenue coming from its hotel chain.
In this context, the upscale four‑star resort being built in northern Fuerteventura represents a major investment. In its most recent management report, the company’s administrators highlighted Anjoca’s strong liquidity, noting a net cash position exceeding €70 million:
“Despite having increased inventories and being in the midst of constructing a hotel with almost 500 rooms in Corralejo.”
According to the El Ba Hotels website, the group currently operates 16 hotel complexes, the majority of them in Fuerteventura (seven properties). It also has a presence in Vecindario and Lanzarote within the Canary Islands, as well as locations in Andalusia, Madrid, and Mallorca.
