Another heavy rain in northern Fuerteventura

No isolated drizzles are ruled out for Tuesday and Wednesday

Therese finally delivered a solid shower, especially in the north of Fuerteventura this Monday, as announced by noticiasfuerteventura.com.

Light southerly winds and increasingly overcast skies produced, early in the morning, brief but intense bursts of rain in the capital and in interior areas of the central and northern parts of the island. It also rained in the south, but to a lesser degree.

More than 15 mm of rain were recorded again in the municipality of La Oliva, with notable accumulation in Valebrón and the town centre of La Oliva. Villaverde and Lajares also received a good downpour, with gullies and ravines carrying a substantial amount of water.

Ravines ran in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario as well, with heavy rain in the port from the early hours, reaching 12.7 mm during the day.

In short, Therese gave a nice gift today to close March, although forecast models suggest rain could return on Tuesday and Wednesday. From a distance, April might begin with some water. Overall, it looks like Easter week will bring light winds and pleasant temperatures; we will keep you informed
