Antigua approves license for an Adisfuer poultry farm
.
This concerns the basic‑project license from Adisfuer for the construction of a laying‑hen poultry farm.
The Antigua City Council held its first Local Government Board of the year, chaired by Mayor Matías Peña García, during which they announced the favorable construction permit for the basic project submitted by the Association of Disabled People of Fuerteventura (Adisfuer) to build a laying‑hen poultry farm.
“Our commitment to Adisfuer is firm throughout the year,” said Mayor Matías Peña. “Since they presented the farm project more than five years ago, we have expressed the full support of the Antigua City Council, even providing a professional at that time to assist them with whatever was needed.”
Mayor Peña added that, following the receipt of sectoral reports from the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, the council has now granted the construction permit for the basic project. The approved plan will enable the building of a poultry farm housing 37,500 laying hens and is designed as a social initiative that will create 50 direct jobs for people with disabilities.
