Applications Open for Fuerteventura Council's Linguistic Immersion Scholarships
The Department of Education is offering 25 students the chance to improve their English with a training stay in Ireland.
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Department of Education headed by Adargoma Hernández, has launched the 2025/2026 linguistic immersion scholarship program. It is aimed at students who have completed the third year of compulsory secondary education (3º ESO) in the 2024/2025 academic year.
These grants, funded with a total amount of €173,289.03, will cover the participation of 25 students in an intensive English training program. The program includes a four‑month online course running from 1 February to 31 July 2025, followed by a four‑week linguistic and cultural immersion stay in Ireland during the subsequent vacation period.
“We continue to invest in an education that provides real opportunities. Moreover, these scholarships allow our students to experience a unique formative journey that equips them with tools to develop autonomy and enhances their preparation for academic and professional futures,” said Counselor Adargoma Hernández.
Interested candidates may submit their applications from 23 October to 12 November (both dates inclusive) via the Cabildo’s Electronic Office (sede.cabildofuer.es) or the central electronic registry (rec.redsara.es). Applications are also accepted in person at the citizen service offices in Puerto del Rosario, Gran Tarajal, Morro Jable, and Corralejo (Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑14:00).
