Body of Young Man Recovered from Ugán Beach

The rescue services found the body near the area where he had disappeared.

A new tragedy unfolded at Ugán Beach, located in the southwest of Fuerteventura. The beach, well‑known to locals, poses significant risks, especially to those unfamiliar with its conditions.

The 25‑year‑old tourist was unable to return on foot from a cove he had entered at low tide. All indications point to him drowning in the strong sea currents that characterize the area.

Rescue teams have been searching for him since early morning. Despite deploying numerous resources, they were unable to save his life.
