CAAF Fixes Issues at Fimapaire, Restoring Power to the North

CAAF workers and the electric company staff resolved the outage at the pumping station of the reservoir.

The water supply has been fully restored as of Monday in the municipality of La Oliva after the electric company succeeded in re‑energizing the pumping station and the Fimapaire reservoir.

The towns of Lajares, La Oliva, Villaverde and El Cotillo are once again receiving water, thanks to the deployment of a powerful generator to the CAAF facilities while normal power lines are being repaired.

The issue originated from a fault in the electrical network and the inability to bring heavy machinery onto the site due to the severe weather conditions brought by Storm Emilia to the island last Friday and Saturday.
