Cabildo Launches Slogan “Strong By Your Side,” Emphasizing Its Close Ties to the Community and Territory

The Cabildo of Fuerteventura unveiled its new institutional slogan, “Fuerte a Tu Lado”, a brief and direct message intended to reflect the body’s commitment to being close to the population and its dedication to protecting the island’s territory and future.

The new motto will accompany all actions, projects and management areas of the Cabildo, forming part of a communication campaign that highlights the core pillars of its work: caring for people and improving quality of life, sustainable water management, and the conservation of the island’s environment.

“More than a slogan, it is a way of understanding public management. We want citizens to feel that closeness with an institution that accompanies and responds; that not only acts, but also listens, supports, and stands beside the people,” said Lola García, President of the Cabildo.

García also reviewed the achievements of the current term, crediting the joint effort of the ministries and the support of the municipalities. She highlighted:

• Increased water production, storage capacity, and distribution efficiency
• Doubling of socio‑health care places
• Unlocking long‑awaited projects such as new senior care centers
• Territory protection, which also means safeguarding the essence, traditions, and identity of our people

“There is still much to do, but the goal remains the same: to work for a better quality of life, protect the environment, and project the island toward the future. That is exactly what we wanted to reflect with the slogan ‘Fuerte a Tu Lado’,” García added.
