Cabildo Opens Call for Language Immersion Scholarships: 25 Spots to Study English in Ireland

The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Department of Education led by Councillor Adargoma Hernández, has launched the linguistic immersion scholarship program for students who have completed the final year of compulsory secondary education. The initiative has a budget of €173,289.03 and will fund 25 places.

The programme combines an intensive four‑month online English course and a four‑week linguistic and cultural immersion stay in Ireland during the subsequent vacation period.

“We continue to invest in an education that offers real opportunities. It allows our students to live a unique formative experience, gain autonomy and improve their academic and professional preparation,” said Councillor Hernández.

Applications will be accepted for a limited period in the fall. They can be submitted through:

  • the Cabildo’s Electronic Headquarters (sede.cabildofuer.es)
  • the central electronic registry (rec.redsara.es)
  • citizen service offices in Puerto del Rosario, Gran Tarajal, Morro Jable, and Corralejo (Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑14:00)

Full details and the official terms are available on the Cabildo’s website (section for aids, subsidies, and scholarships). Inquiries can be sent to [email protected] or by phone at 928 862 401.
