Candelaria Umpiérrez decides to end her term with the Tuineje City Council
Coalition Canaria says the pact remains “with the aim of fulfilling the government programme committed to the citizens.”
Candelaria Umpiérrez Ramos informed the Local Political Council of her decision to conclude her term at the head of the Tuineje City Hall, ending her mandate in the municipal government. She explained that the motivation behind this decision is personal.
“Umpiérrez began her tenure as mayor leading a corporation that lacked stability, with municipal accounts that showed serious financial difficulties, without a consolidated staff‑positions list and without any step taken towards a General Plan,” she added.
The political organization expressed its gratitude to the councilor:
“Thank you for the courage demonstrated in assuming responsibility and governing a corporation that was in an especially complex situation. We also appreciate the dedication and institutional sense implied by this step, highlighting your commitment and political stature in closing a particularly difficult legislature in many respects.”
“Both the party’s colleagues and the militants wanted to recognize Candelaria Umpiérrez’s loyalty and dedication to this political organization. In this sense, they send you their best wishes for the new stage you now begin, reiterating that you will always have the party’s support and affection,” AM‑CC explained in a press release.
Finally, the party sent a reassuring message to the residents of Tuineje:
“The pact with the governing partners remains, and there is a solid and capable team to continue leading the council, with the aim of fulfilling the government programme pledged to the citizens.”
All signs point to David Ginory, next on the Coalition Canaria list, being proclaimed mayor of Tuineje in the coming days.
