The low‑pressure system approaching the islands will begin to be felt from this Friday, gaining strength throughout the afternoon and especially on Saturday.

Strong background seas, a high likelihood of rain and stormy phenomena will be accompanied by strong winds, particularly in the north and northwest of Fuerteventura.

Precautions:

• Exercise extreme caution in the following localities:
  • El Cotillo
  • Lajares
  • Tindaya (also advised)
  • Corralejo (to a lesser extent)
• Expected wind conditions:
  • Sustained winds from the northwest at 50 km/h
  • Gusts that could reach 70 km/h
