Chamber of Commerce Supports Business Consolidation
The tutoring program concluded with the awarding of diplomas as recognition of their effort and commitment.
The Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura celebrated yesterday at the Island Youth Center the closing of the 2025 Tutoring Program for Business Consolidation, an initiative that has supported small and medium‑sized enterprises on the island throughout the year. Its goal is to boost competitiveness, solidify business models and generate new growth opportunities through individualized tutoring, specialized training and networking spaces.
The event was chaired by Soledad Monzón Cabrera, third vice‑president of the Chamber, who opened the session with a welcome address emphasizing the program’s importance as a tool for supporting the island’s productive fabric. She highlighted the participants’ effort to adapt to an ever‑changing economic environment.
The session continued with a presentation by Raquel Valle, who spoke about the challenges and opportunities of female entrepreneurship. Afterwards, the main milestones and projects developed by the tutored companies were showcased in a segment led by Alejandro Ramos, tutor and facilitator of the event. This segment highlighted the work carried out, shared experiences and underscored the innovation, resilience and commitment that characterize the island’s businesses.
The diploma ceremony followed, marking a symbolic moment that publicly recognized the dedication of the companies that successfully completed the tutoring process. The awarding of distinctions turned into a collective celebration, valuing participants’ involvement and the usefulness of tutoring as a lever for strengthening business consolidation.
The gathering concluded with a participatory activity and a networking space, designed as an open forum for companies to exchange experiences, establish new contacts and generate synergies. This collaborative closing illustrated the program’s philosophy: to accompany businesses not only in learning but also in building cooperative networks that foster medium‑ and long‑term growth.
During this edition, key areas for the present and future of the island’s business fabric were addressed, including financial culture and sustainability, digital transformation, soft‑skill and leadership development, and branding as a differentiating element in corporate image consolidation.
The 2025 Tutoring Program for Business Consolidation is co‑financed by the General Directorate of Promotion and Economic Diversification of the Canary Islands’ Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce and Self‑Employment, and the Canary Islands 2021‑2027 EU Fund (FEDER).
