December Starts Off Windy

The rise of northeast winds will accompany us at least until Friday

The last month of the year starts with strong winds and a drop in temperatures, especially in the feels‑like temperature. Since Monday, the trade winds have returned from the northeast, bringing high humidity and scattered drizzles across the island of Fuerteventura.

• Tuesday: wind intensity eases slightly.
• Wednesday: the windiest day of the period.
• Thursday–Friday: strong winds continue without abating.

Along the coast, sea conditions will worsen:

• Waves of up to 2.5 m are expected, rising to 4 m on Thursday in the north‑west part of the island.
