Dies After Being Run Over on FV 2 Toward Las Salinas del Carmen

The tragic incident occurred at midday on the road that leaves Caleta de Fuste.

A man died on Monday after being struck by a vehicle on the FV‑2 highway as he walked from Caleta de Fuste toward Antigua.

At approximately 13:38, the Canary Islands Government’s Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 received an alert reporting a pedestrian collision at the aforementioned location.

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, the victim was in cardiac arrest. Basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation measures were immediately administered, but they were unsuccessful.
