Employment programs seek labor synergies with businesses

The student‑workers of the PFAE‑GJ “Fuerteventura Cares at Home” and “Fuerteventura Preserves Its Environment” programs, run by the Island Council, met today with the business community of Fuerteventura. The gathering aimed to create synergies and further promote the labour insertion of young people who are currently unemployed.

Meeting Highlights

  • Participants: 30 student‑workers from the two youth‑employment‑guarantee alternance programs (PFAE‑GJ), together with their management teams, coordinators, teachers and administrative support staff.
  • Business representatives: Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura, Nivaria S.L., AFFA, Adivia, the José Gómez Disability Care Center, Adisfuer, Garden Center La Lajita and Gesplan.
  • Opening remarks: Nuria Cabrera, Councillor for Employment Promotion, welcomed the event and highlighted the professional, personal and social competencies the PFAE‑GJ beneficiaries have acquired during their training and work.

“It is essential to coordinate with Fuerteventura’s business fabric and to showcase the young talent being trained in employment programs, who are preparing to enter the labour market,” said Cabrera.
