The Canary Islands housing institute has begun the contracting process for energy improvements to 10 public homes in Valle de Santa Inés.
The Canary Islands housing institute, ICAVI, has begun the contracting process for energy-efficiency improvements to 10 public homes in Valle de Santa Inés, in the municipality of Betancuria.
The proposed work has a base tender budget of €252,141.20. It aims to improve the buildings’ energy efficiency, reduce their consumption of non-renewable primary energy and improve living conditions for residents.
The Betancuria homes form part of a wider contract covering 100 public homes across Fuerteventura. The other properties are 50 homes in the Fabelo group in Puerto del Rosario and 40 in the La Oliva II group in the municipality of La Oliva. The contract is divided into three lots and has an estimated value of €2,378,453.67, excluding IGIC, the Canary Islands’ indirect tax.
The project is part of a neighbourhood rehabilitation assistance programme funded by the European Union’s Next Generation EU scheme. The contracting process has begun, but no start date for the work has been announced in the available information.
