Exercise extreme caution at sea this weekend
Waves up to five metres high are expected on Sunday along the north and west coasts of the island.
The weather outlook predicts a weekend dominated by strong north‑west winds, a high likelihood of rain and a persistent swell. Waves exceeding five metres could be recorded on the north and west shores of Fuerteventura.
In this context, the archipelago is on pre‑alert for coastal phenomena, and a wind warning cannot be ruled out. Extra caution is advised, especially in the north and west, but throughout the entire territory.
A new front arriving from the Atlantic will bring a noticeable drop in temperatures, lasting at least until Wednesday.
