Feaga revs up
President Lola García and the sector minister Enrique Pérez monitor the work being carried out at the venue to host the sector’s biggest event.
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura is finalising preparations for the 2026 Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Fair (Feaga), which will take place from April 16 to 19, expecting high participation from the public, professionals and companies in the sector.
President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Lola García, and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Enrique Pérez, are monitoring progress at the Experimental Agricultural Farm of Pozo Negro, thanks to the work of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, in coordination with the rest of the island corporation’s areas, in a transversal manner.
In this way, the installation of stands, booths and stages that will host the activity of the biggest primary‑sector event in Fuerteventura and throughout the Canary Islands is being completed, with the aim of showcasing the work of professionals and the quality of local products during the fair. In its 2026 edition, Feaga is modernising, betting on a greater technological component in the venue.
Today, the installation of a tent provided by the Pájara City Council has begun to host the artisans’ market area and Feaga’s main stage. The Cabildo of Fuerteventura thanks the support of the Public Works Department of the Pájara City Council, led by Alexis Alonso, as well as the work of its staff, which makes this addition possible.
Lola García and Enrique Pérez also thank the professionals of the land and sea of Fuerteventura, who make this fair possible, as well as the staff of the primary‑sector area and the Pozo Negro Experimental Farm, municipalities, institutions, entities of various types and companies that participate in FEAGA, all the ministries of the Cabildo involved and the Government of the Canary Islands.
