Firefighters Rescue Baby from Vehicle in Playa Honda

Incident Occurred on San Borondón Street and Was Accidental

The striking image caused a stir yesterday afternoon in Playa Honda. On the central San Borondón Street, firefighters had to gain entry to a car, forcing the door open to “rescue” a baby who was inside the vehicle. The incident appears to have happened around 18:00 hours after the keys were inadvertently left inside.

The Safety and Emergencies Consortium reported that they responded to the call and, once on site and in the presence of local police and the Civil Guard, they:

“Proceed to open the vehicle. Once opened we accessed the interior, finding the baby in good condition and the mother taking charge.”
