Four new officers join Puerto del Rosario's local police force
The Puerto del Rosario City Council has welcomed four new Local Police officers this Monday. After successfully completing their probationary period, they are now fully integrated as career civil servants within the municipal staff.
The swearing‑in ceremony took place in the council’s plenary hall, attended by Mayor David de Vera, Councilor for Personnel María Franco, as well as police officials and municipal representatives.
With these additions, the capital municipality continues to strengthen the human resources of its Security Department, in line with the governing coalition’s commitment to provide a service that is closer, more efficient, and better adapted to citizens’ needs.
“Each new addition to the Local Police translates into a direct improvement in the care and safety of our neighbors. Our officers do far more than traffic control or surveillance; they are an active part of daily life in Puerto del Rosario, assisting in emergencies, public events, and enforcing ordinances that help us live together better,” said Mayor David de Vera.
Councilor for Personnel María Franco highlighted the importance of inter‑departmental collaboration to reinforce municipal services:
“We continue working on stabilizing and expanding public staffing, promoting stable and quality employment. These four officers exemplify the effort, training, and commitment to public service that we aim to foster across all areas of the City Council,” she noted.
The City Council is also modernizing the Local Police’s technical resources, progressively adding new vehicles and advanced tools, including the use of drones. These technologies enhance response capabilities for any incident and enable a more efficient service for the community.
