Four people fall into the sea near Los Charcones, south Lanzarote

Four people have fallen into the sea in the southern part of the island of Lanzarote, in the Los Charcones area on the western coast of the municipality of Yaiza.

• Several ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.
• A rescue helicopter from the GES and a jet‑ski are currently searching for some of the individuals.

The incident occurs while Lanzarote, like Fuerteventura, is under an orange warning for wave conditions issued by AEMET and is also on alert for coastal phenomena by the Directorate General of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands.
