Fuerteventura begins London tourism talks with UK, French and Hungarian operators
Fuerteventura began its WTM meetings on 3 November, with 442,672 scheduled airline seats from the UK for winter 2026/27.
Fuerteventura’s tourism board began talks with British, French and Hungarian travel firms at World Travel Market (WTM) in London on 3 November 2026. The talks focused on the island’s winter tourism outlook.
The island came to the fair with 442,672 scheduled airline seats from the United Kingdom for winter 2026/27. The UK is the island’s largest source of visitors. The figure refers to scheduled seats, not bookings or confirmed arrivals.
Marlene Figueroa held talks with TUI Reino Unido, Easyjet Reino Unido, Thalasso nº1 Francia, Karavel-Promovacances Francia and Via Sale Hungría. She is the Cabildo’s tourism councillor and vice-president of the island’s tourism board.
Figueroa said the fair was a chance to speak directly with the firms that plan and sell holidays to Fuerteventura. She explained that comparing their winter expectations would help the island refine how it promotes tourism.
Fuerteventura took part under the Turismo Islas Canarias umbrella at the official Promotur Canarias stand. Delegates from the tourism areas of Antigua, La Oliva and Pájara attended, along with local tourism firms.
The tourism board was due to hold more one-to-one meetings from 4 November until the fair closed on 5 November. The report did not announce any new routes or extra airline capacity as a result of the opening talks.
