The Health Services Management of the Fuerteventura Health Area, under the Canary Islands Government’s Health Department, has launched the third edition of the “Acompañándote” program, which will take place at the Special Education Center (CEE) in Puerto del Rosario. The initiative aims to promote self‑care and provide training, guidance and support to teachers, professionals and families at the center.

Program Overview

The program is part of the actions of the Fuerteventura Health Promotion Network (RedPSAP), led by a team of nurses from the Health Area. This edition began in September and will run until April 2026, featuring seven thematic workshops focused on physical, emotional and social well‑being.

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Airway obstruction by foreign bodies (OVACE)
  • Allergies
  • Mobility assistance for older adults
  • Emotional management
  • Healthy nutrition
  • Mindfulness

The comprehensive approach seeks to foster holistic care, advancing health from a community perspective.

Workshops are delivered by interdisciplinary professionals from nursing, physiotherapy, social work, psychology and nutrition, ensuring that the content meets participants’ needs.
