Fuerteventura under yellow alert until Sunday
During Thursday and Friday the alert will be due to wind and rain, and on Saturday because of coastal phenomena.
The yellow‑alert situation on the island of Fuerteventura will last until Sunday, according to AEMET. All indications suggest that the same day the influence of the low‑pressure system will begin to move away from the islands.
- Friday: Strong winds will affect the entire island, mainly from the southwest, with isolated showers possible across the territory.
- Saturday: The yellow alert will be linked to adverse coastal conditions, with waves that could exceed 5 metres on the north and west coasts. The rough sea state will be felt throughout Fuerteventura.
- From Tuesday onward: Winds will shift to the northeast, remaining very intense until Friday, but without any chance of rain.
