Hansel and Gretel Scores Resounding Success in Puerto del Rosario

Children, youngsters and families packed the square, living each moment of the performance with enthusiasm.

The island tour of Ópera Fuerteventura staged one of its most special events yesterday in Puerto del Rosario, where the church’s rear square was completely filled to enjoy the operatic version of Hansel and Gretel.

The audience responded en masse: children, youngsters and families crowded the square, experiencing every scene with excitement. The magic of the music and the tenderness of the story captivated the little ones, who remained attentive and moved, while adults accompanied them with smiles and applause.

The performance, led by soprano Elsa Roldán and mezzosopranos Ginsreyner and Inés Olabarría‑Smith, turned into a genuine popular celebration, once again proving that opera can be enjoyed in an intimate, free, and family‑friendly setting.

A Hot Chocolate Treat to Sweeten the Afternoon

After the show, the day continued with a hot‑chocolate gathering that brought together families and artists, extending the joy in a convivial and celebratory atmosphere. It was the perfect finishing touch for an evening that will remain in the memory of Puerto del Rosario.
