Haze returns, denser this Monday

Weak easterly winds and the influence of the Saharan ridge will raise temperatures

Starting this Monday, the trade‑wind influence will fade and the desert’s pulse will hit Fuerteventura with force. The Saharan ridge intensifies, bringing weak easterly winds that will carry dust and cause a general rise in temperatures.

The shift in weather patterns appears to be permanent, with forecasts indicating that this dry, sunny spell—punctuated by dust influxes from the continent—will dominate at least until the end of the month.

Sea conditions will remain relatively calm through the weekend, but caution is advised along the coast, especially on the island’s northern and western shores.
