Heat and haze set for the weekend
The light easterly wind returns to the island of Fuerteventura, bringing with it the influence of the African ridge over the islands.
Dry weather and temperatures above 25 °C in many parts of Fuerteventura will be accompanied by high‑altitude haze that could become denser on Sunday and Monday.
Meanwhile, the swell is rising sharply, so swimmers should exercise great caution, especially on the north and west coasts of Fuerteventura, where waves could reach up to 4 m on Saturday and lessen in intensity on Sunday.
The pattern of rising temperatures and anticyclonic conditions will persist until Wednesday, when the trade wind returns to the islands, bringing a general drop in temperatures and an increase in the swell.
