A towering column of smoke rising from the Technological Park caused alarm among residents of the capital, as it initially appeared to signal a major fire at the facilities.

According to officials from the Security and Emergencies department, the plume was actually part of a drill—a simulated scenario involving drones and satellites that are regularly tested in the park.

The information was confusing, especially since no similar exercises had been announced beforehand, and the sheer volume of smoke was visible for kilometers around.
