Mayor’s Remarks
“Congratulations to all the participants, the winners, and especially to those who consider finishing a victory in itself,” said the mayor. He highlighted this year’s godfather of the race, Ramón Domínguez, president of the Island Athletics Federation, noting his commitment to include the event in the Canary Islands Championships.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the El Castillejo de Tesjuate Neighborhood Association, which serves as a shining example. I hope many more local associations will join future editions of the Barceló Caleta de Fuste Mile – a true celebration of sport,” said Samuel Torres, councilor for Sports.
Event Background
The urban mile in Caleta de Fuste has been organized by the Antigua City Council for more than two decades. For the past fourteen editions, it has been sponsored by the Barceló hotel group, illustrating a successful partnership between the tourism sector and municipal authorities to promote athletic participation on the island
