Island Drizzles: “More Heat Ahead”

Temperatures Will Rise Towards the Weekend

The first autumn drizzles in Fuerteventura arrived on the island in a very isolated and scarce manner, especially considering the water needs of the Majorero territory, which has been enduring a prolonged drought.

Starting this Friday, the wind will shift to the east and temperatures will climb, bringing a weekend with a marked anticyclonic character and temperatures close to 30 °C in many parts of the island. The arrival of the calima (dust haze) on Sunday afternoon cannot be ruled out.

Regarding sea conditions, great caution is advised, especially from tomorrow onward, with waves that may reach up to 2.5 meters in height on the north and west coasts of the island.
