Juan Luis Guerra joins Lava Live with Molotov, Nicky Jam, Nathy Peluso
Over two weekends – 12 & 13 June and 24 & 25 July – the capital of Lanzarote will host the Lava Live Festival 2026, presenting a star‑studded line‑up for a wide range of audiences and styles, including Leiva, Iván Ferreiro, Molotov, Hombres G, Ke Personajes, La Cabra Mecánica, La Tomson, Nicky Jam and Nathy Peluso, among many others.
The Lava Live Festival 2026 has finalized its roster with the addition of Juan Luis Guerra, a global reference in Latin music, for an edition that will take place on 12 & 13 June and 24 & 25 July in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote.
The event was officially presented on the afternoon of Wednesday, 8 April. Organisers revealed the “biggest surprise” – the presence on Lanzarote of the Dominican artist, winner of 28 Latin Grammy Awards and a legend of merengue and the “king of bachata”.
According to the organisers, the festival’s 2026 line‑up offers a transversal mix of musical styles and artists capable of reaching diverse audiences, aiming to cement Lanzarote “as an emerging destination on the national circuit of major festivals.”
Two dates, four musical bets
Friday 12 June will open with a rock‑and‑indie‑focused program, headlined by Leiva, Iván Ferreiro and Molotov, supported by Los Callaos and DJ Tali Arenao, adding local talent to the experience.
Saturday 13 June will adopt a more transversal, generational profile, with Hombres G as the main draw, alongside Ke Personajes, La Cabra Mecánica, La Tom Son and DJ Nandy Paredes, creating a day designed to connect different ages and styles.
The second weekend will kick off on Friday 24 July with one of the strongest pairings of the line‑up, led by Juan Luis Guerra and Ana Mena, joined by Juanma Restrepo, Ventura, Malpéis and Renzzo El Selector – a massive‑appeal event for both local and visiting audiences.
Saturday 25 July will close the festival with a day of strong urban and international vibes, headlined by Nicky Jam and Nathy Peluso, supported by Club Grasa, Barry B, Rodrigo Fénix and Toni Bob, delivering a contemporary, high‑impact finale.
New space and new experience
The festival will also make a qualitative leap with the creation of the “Estadio Lava Live,” a new venue located on the esplanade next to the Cabildo of Lanzarote. It will accommodate up to 20,000 people per day, offering improved accessibility, mobility and comfort. This arena will turn Arrecife’s centre into a large open‑air stage for four days, reinforcing the city’s role as the island’s cultural hub.
In addition to the musical programme, the festival will debut its own gastronomic experience through the BOKA project, a concept developed with chef Germán Blanco that highlights local, zero‑kilometre products. The initiative aims to convey Lanzarote’s essence through cuisine, linking the festival experience with the primary sector and the island’s identity.
Surpassing 40,000 attendees of 2025
Lava Live Festival faces a new challenge after the strong performance of the 2025 edition, which attracted more than 40,000 attendees, with 25 % coming from outside the island, visitors from 43 nationalities, and an estimated economic impact of €14.3 million. The event has become one of the archipelago’s premier cultural gatherings. For 2026, the organisation has invested over €5 million to further raise the event’s level and its external projection.
“The festival fits within Lanzarote’s strategic push for culture as an economic engine and positioning tool,” said Oswaldo Betancort, President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. “Initiatives like Lava Live diversify tourism offerings and generate opportunities for the local productive fabric.”
“Hosting an event of this magnitude will give a significant boost to commerce, hospitality and the city’s economy,” noted Yonathan de León, Mayor of Arrecife. “During those days the city will become a cultural and social meeting point.”
“It is essential to promote projects that benefit Lanzarote’s society and strengthen the island’s external projection,” added Ángel Vázquez, Director of the Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism. “We also invite residents and visitors from other islands to join this experience.”
“Lava Live is now a consolidated reality thanks to public‑private collaboration and confidence in Lanzarote’s potential,” affirmed the Preventos Media team. “Our goal is to keep generating a positive impact on the island by bringing top‑level artists that usually only perform elsewhere and offering an experience that goes far beyond music.”
The festival will maintain its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, offering free entry for people over 65, adapted zones for reduced‑mobility guests, a “Punto Naranja” assistance point, and discounts for cultural‑bonus and youth cards.
Tickets are already on sale through the official festival website, featuring a special super‑pass with various modalities and price tiers that will evolve as sales progress. Organisers recommend purchasing early.
