King Felipe VI Calls for an End to the Gaza Massacre

“We find it hard to understand what Israel is doing,” the monarch said.

King Felipe VI has pleaded from the UN podium to the Israeli government to stop the massacre in Gaza and to cease causing more deaths in the name of a people — the Jewish people — who have suffered so much throughout history and with whom Spain shares deep historical ties.

In his speech before the UN General Assembly, aligning with the stance maintained by the Spanish government, the monarch asserted that “we cannot remain silent, nor look away, in the face of devastation,” pointing to the countless civilian deaths, the famine, and the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. He concluded with a poignant question: “What destiny?”
