La Hondura to launch new Line 3 Satellite urban transport on September 22

The expansion responds to a neighborhood demand and adds new stops in La Hondura and Risco Prieto

Starting on September 22, the urban bus service in Puerto del Rosario will extend its coverage with the launch of the new Line 3 Satellite (L3‑S). The addition addresses a long‑standing request from residents of La Hondura and represents a significant improvement in mobility for the capital.

The new line will include stops on Calle Candray (La Hondura) and Calle Cochinilla (Risco Prieto), two densely populated areas that until now lacked a direct public‑transport connection.

“With the launch of the Line 3 Satellite we are responding to a real need of the residents of La Hondura and the Risco Prieto Industrial Estate. Puerto del Rosario is growing and, with it, the urban transport network must also grow. Our commitment is that no neighbourhood is left behind in its connection to the rest of the city.”
— David de Vera, Mayor of Puerto del Rosario

“This expansion is the result of a technical study that confirmed its feasibility and necessity. The L3‑S strengthens the service, improves frequencies and makes daily life easier for hundreds of people. We want moving by bus to become increasingly comfortable, practical and accessible for everyone.”
— Luis Chacón, Transport Councilor

Citizens can find full information on schedules and routes at the Citizen Office (Calle Profesor Juan Tadeo 2, corner with Ramón Peñate 1) or by calling 928 121 301.

With this expansion, Puerto del Rosario moves toward a better‑connected city model, where urban transport grows hand‑in‑hand with the needs of its neighborhoods.
