La Hondura to launch new Satellite Line 3 of urban transport on September 22

Expansion of the Urban Bus Network

Starting next Monday, September 22, Puerto del Rosario will extend its urban transport network with the launch of the new Line 3 Satellite (L3‑S). The extension responds to a long‑standing demand from residents of La Hondura and aims to improve mobility in the capital.

New Stops

  • Candray Street, La Hondura
  • Cochinilla Street, Risco Prieto

These areas previously lacked direct public‑transport connections despite significant population growth and economic activity.

Official Statements

“With the launch of Line 3 Satellite we are answering a real need of the residents of La Hondura and the Risco Prieto industrial park. Puerto del Rosario is growing, and the urban transport network must grow with it. Our commitment is that no neighbourhood is left behind in its connection to the rest of the city.” – Mayor David de Vera

“The extension is the result of a technical study that confirmed its feasibility and necessity. L3‑S strengthens the service, improves frequencies and makes daily life easier for hundreds of people. We want moving by bus to become increasingly comfortable, practical and accessible for everyone.” – Transport Councilor Luis Chacón
