La Oliva to Open Third School in Geafont, Corr
The municipal government of La Oliva has transferred a parcel of municipal land to the Canary Islands’ Department of Education for the construction of a third secondary school in the municipality. During the ordinary council meeting in November, officials approved the donation of roughly 20,000 m² of buildable land to host a new secondary institute that will complement the existing educational offer in the northern part of the island.
This donation follows a previous land transfer in El Cotillo, where a plot was already made available to the Department of Education for the construction of a combined early‑childhood and primary school, addressing the needs of the coastal community.
