La Pared Urbanization Act Launches $5 Million Construction Project
The signing of the layout act ends decades of neglect and urban planning problems in this Pájara enclave, thanks to works that will renew sidewalks, electrical installations and lighting, water networks, and paving.
The Pájara City Council, through its Works Department, announced the signing of the layout act for the La Pared Urbanization—an event that puts an end to years of abandonment and urban‑planning issues in this part of the municipality. With a budget of five million euros, the project will renovate and modernize the area’s infrastructure and public services.
“The planned actions include the renewal of sidewalks, the upgrade of the electrical grid, the installation of new luminaires, the improvement of the water supply system and the replacement of obsolete pipes, as well as the complete paving of the roads and other interventions aimed at a comprehensive improvement of the urban environment,” the municipal press release quoted first deputy mayor and Works Councillor Alexis Alonso.
The signing took place on the morning of Thursday, 9 October, in the presence of Pájara’s mayor Alejandro Jorge, the head of the contracting company, and Councillor Alonso himself.
“The improvement of the La Pared urbanization not only beautifies the surroundings but also guarantees a modern and sustainable infrastructure for residents,” declared Mayor Alejandro Jorge, adding, “We will continue working so that every locality in the municipality has the services and spaces it needs.”
The municipal statement concluded that the council remains committed to the “modernization of public spaces” through “urban development adapted to the population’s needs.”
