Lost pink flamingo on the capital’s waterfront avenue

The residents of Puerto del Rosario were taken by surprise on Tuesday when a pink flamingo appeared on the city’s seafront avenue.

The exotic bird was strolling calmly, its long legs and striking pink plumage clearly visible as it emerged from the capital’s pier.

All signs point to the bird having escaped from the Oasis Park in La Lajita, where a permanent colony of flamingos is kept.

The animal could have been seen disoriented from Oasis Park in La Lajita.
