Low Pressure System Approaches Fuerteventura, Bringing Possible Storms

Temperatures will drop sharply, strong north winds and a high chance of rain across the island

All models indicate that the weather forecast for the island is becoming increasingly reliable for Thursday and Friday’s sessions on the island of Fuerteventura.
The latest GFS model run predicts strong winds, rain from the north, cold and rough sea conditions.
If this configuration materializes, the isobars will tighten as the anticyclone sits on one side and a low‑pressure system on the other. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura could experience localized storms.

Rain is expected on Thursday
Everything points to a rainy day across the entire island on Thursday, accompanied by strong winds coming from the north with gusts of more than 60 kilometers per hour and sustained winds of 45‑50 km/h.
At sea, waves over four meters high are expected to the north and west of the island, a situation that could last until Sunday.
