Man Arrested for Drug Sales at Puerto del Rosario Cannabis Club
Agents seized approximately 1,560 grams of marijuana, along with various materials related to the preparation and distribution of the substance.
The National Police have detained a man as part of an operation against drug trafficking at the premises of a cannabis association in Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura), within an investigation led by the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Las Palmas.
Investigations began in October 2025 after the police received a request from the Prosecutor’s Office concerning pre‑procedural investigative proceedings that sought to verify whether illicit drug sales were taking place in a cannabis association, according to a press release from the National Police.
Following that request, the Narcotics Unit of the Puerto del Rosario Local Police carried out several investigative actions that confirmed the venue was operating and that there were numerous neighbor complaints about strong marijuana odors on the street and in the building’s common areas, as well as continuous noises and vibrations coming from inside the establishment.
Given the seriousness of the facts and in order to obtain material evidence, the competent Instruction Court of Puerto del Rosario authorized entry and a search of the premises, which was carried out on 3 February 2026.
During the raid, agents seized approximately 1,560 grams of marijuana, along with various materials related to the preparation and distribution of the drug, leading to the arrest of a man as a suspected perpetrator of a crime against public health.
In addition, the Puerto del Rosario Local Police have ordered the closure and precautionary sealing of the establishment, while the detainee has been placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
