Mercadona to invest €5 million in revamping La Hondura supermarket
Renovation to Begin This January, Reopening on June 11 After a Complete Overhaul
The Mercadona supermarket in La Hondura, the first store the chain opened in Fuerteventura, will undergo a renovation costing more than €5 million.
About 30 suppliers will participate in the project, providing employment for roughly 150 workers during the construction phase.
The store will remain closed for renovations from January 10 until June 11, when it will reopen after a comprehensive remodel.
The temporary closure aims to align the store with the company’s new corporate standards; during this period, the entire sanitary network of the premises will also be replaced.
