Moroccan Firm Marsa Maroc Acquires 45% Stake in Boluda Maritime Terminals

Marsa Maroc, through its subsidiary Maroc International, has purchased a 45 % stake in the Spanish firm Boluda Maritime Terminals, a subsidiary of Boluda Corporación Marítima, for €80 million.

The company provides integrated management services at the port of Puerto del Rosario.

Boluda Maritime Terminals offers port‑management and logistics services through nine terminals located in Spain, both on the mainland and in the Canary Islands: Las Palmas, La Palma, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Sevilla, Vilagarcía, Cádiz and Santander.

Together, the two groups now operate 34 terminals in 20 ports across the mainland, the Canary Islands and Africa.

“Boluda will continue to lead the business while the new shareholder will bring its experience and generate synergies,” the companies said in a press release.

“Both groups share a clear strategic alignment, driven by a shared ambition to strengthen their position in the Morocco‑Spain corridor, a maritime axis of great relevance.”

The partnership is described as “a significant step forward in their expansion process,” reinforcing their presence along the key Morocco‑Spain maritime route.
