New Line 3S Launch Monday Brings Puerto del Rosario Bus to La Hondura

The municipal transport service is expanding to meet a long‑standing demand from residents of La Hondura, bringing a significant boost to mobility in the capital.

From this Monday, urban transport in Puerto del Rosario will extend its coverage with the new Line 3 Satellite (L3‑S). The extension adds stops on Calle Candray (La Hondura) and Calle Cochinilla (Risco Prieto)—two densely populated areas that previously lacked a direct public‑transport link.

“With the launch of Line 3 Satellite we are answering a real need of the residents of La Hondura and of the Risco Prieto industrial park. Puerto del Rosario is growing, and the urban transport network must grow with it. Our commitment is that no neighbourhood is left behind in its connection to the rest of the city,” said Mayor David de Vera.

The councilor for Transport, Luis Chacón, added:

“This extension is the result of a technical study that confirmed its viability and necessity. L3‑S strengthens the service, improves frequencies and makes daily life easier for hundreds of people. We want moving by bus to become increasingly comfortable, practical and accessible for everyone.”

Residents can consult full timetables and route maps at the Citizen Office (Calle Profesor Juan Tadeo 2, corner with Ramón Peñate 1) or by calling 928 121 301.

With this expansion, Puerto del Rosario moves toward a better‑connected city model, where urban transport evolves hand‑in‑hand with the needs of its neighbourhoods.
