New Schism in Fuerteventura Gains Momentum

Councilor Ana Rodríguez Taisma presented her resignation this morning, marking a clear rupture between the party’s leadership and several of its internal officials.

The resignation appears linked to the ongoing investigations into the previous municipal administration, carried out under Operation Odín. The probe examines €1.2 million in contracts awarded during the former term, and many suspect these findings have triggered the split within the localist party.

The composition of the Fuerteventura Avanza group in the capital’s town hall is now in flux. Potential replacements for the vacant seat include:
