Pájara Council Expands Mobile Fleet with New Backhoe

The initiative involves an investment of over €110,000, aimed at replacing aging equipment and improving maintenance work.

New Machinery for the Mobile Park

The town hall of Pájara has added a new piece of heavy machinery to enhance the Mobile Park department, allocating a budget of €113,156 for the purchase of a JCB backhoe. The goal is to provide better service in maintenance tasks across the municipality.

Statements from Local Officials

“The main objective of this action is to renew vehicles that are more than 30 years old and adapt them to new needs and existing technologies,” said Deputy Mayor and Mobile Park councilor Alexis Alonso.
“This machinery will help advance the municipality’s cleaning management in terms of sustainability and technology,” he added.

Mayor Alejandro Jorge emphasized that the investment demonstrates the governing group’s commitment to improving public services from the ground up. He noted, “This is only the beginning of a comprehensive renewal that we will implement in phases.”

Equipment Features

The backhoe comes equipped with a wide range of accessories, including:

  • A 6:1 clam‑shell bucket
  • Cleaning buckets
  • Bivalve shovels of 500 mm and 670 mm
  • A 40 cm bucket (cazado)
  • A hydraulic hammer

Commitment to Modernisation

With this acquisition, the town hall reaffirms its dedication to the progressive modernisation of the Mobile Park’s equipment, replacing obsolete machinery with more efficient and sustainable units.
