Pájara speeds up with

The City Council requests an urgent meeting with the Education Department to address the land transfer.

The City Council of Pájara has asked the Department of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands for an urgent meeting after the session scheduled for yesterday, May 6, was cancelled. The meeting was intended to discuss the transfer of land needed to build the Compulsory Education Center (CEO) in Costa Calma.

The session had been set for yesterday at the municipal technical office, but officials from the regional Education Department did not appear at the agreed time or place, even though the appointment had been confirmed by both parties a month earlier via email.

Pájara’s council wants a new meeting confirmed as soon as possible to address the land transfer and to have the Education Department take charge of constructing the center. This would prevent students from Costa Calma having to travel to Gran Tarajal, providing a significant response to the demand and request of local residents.

While awaiting a new date, the council reaffirms its absolute commitment to education in the municipality of Pájara and, specifically, to this new school. It hopes to soon learn the project details, the implementation plan, and the timelines the Education Department is working with.
