Pájara Tenders New Sports Facility Maintenance Contract

The Pájara City Council has opened a tender for the opening, closing, and maintenance services of its municipal sports facilities. The new contract will run for two years, with the possibility of a one‑year extension, and aims to guarantee a higher‑quality service that meets the current needs of users.

Sports Councilor José Benito Alonso stated in an official communiqué that this contract will represent “a significant improvement” over the previous one, noting that “the budget line for this service has been increased, allowing us to offer better working conditions and broader hourly coverage.”

Among the introduced enhancements, the councilor highlighted:

  • Expanded operating hours
  • Updated duties for each staff member to optimize both user assistance and facility upkeep

Mayor Alejandro Jorge added that “one of the government team’s objectives is to continue improving municipal infrastructure. In this sense, the sports facilities, which are used daily by residents, require the most efficient management possible—not only for opening and closing but also for maintenance.”

“This new tender, which will lead to a new contract, will substantially improve the provision of this service,” Jorge said.
